Review: 'Disenchantment', Audiences left with mixed feelings

 “Disenchantment” is a new show that premiered on Netflix on Aug. 17, 2018. It is the third animated show created by Matt Groening. His previous work includes the titles of “The Simpsons” and “Futurama.” Taking place in Medieval times, “Disenchantment” takes a drastic turn away from Groening’s other work. The show is intended to be a parody of the fantasy genre. To many fans, the show has a lot to live up to because of the quality of his previous work.

“We Happy Few” grabbed the attention of many people. Who wouldn’t want to be trapped in post-war-dystopian-level-1960s Britain with only a semi-effective happy pill to get you through your day? Compulsion Games had a lot going on when developing this game, and many people feared the outcome. I, on the other hand, had my hopes rather high. Surprisingly, I was not completely disappointed

The smell of freshly popped popcorn fills the air. The sound of the voices— partially muffled by the pane of glass in front of them— surround everything. The area is abuzz with excited chatter from people waiting in line to gain their admission and those who already have. While this scene may seem like it is straight out of a movie, it is actually the opposite — it’s the theater during the summer movie season, when kids are out of school, and big-budget movies hit the screens.
