'Shang-Chi' sets new standard for Marvel's latest phase
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is the latest film from Marvel Studios, packing a walloping punch at box offices with a $90 million opening weekend. Because of the pandemic, the theater industry has taken a hit with fewer people going to see movies in theaters, and many preferring to rent or watch movies from the comfort and safety of their own home. However, Shang-Chi’s opening weekend is not only a tale of re-establishing the box office, but a well-deserved win for Marvel’s first Asian-led superhero film.
'He's All That' Review
“He’s All That” is a Netflix original movie that is a spiritual successor to the 90s film “She’s All That.” It follows the story of Padgett Sawyer (Addison Rae), a teenage girl who makes a bet with her friends to see if she can take any guy in their high school considered a lost cause, give him a makeover, and make him prom king. A plot very similar to its predecessor.

Students have hopes, concerns about vaccines
COVID-19 has now been around since late 2019 and came to the United States in early 2020. The virus has changed the course of many people’s lives. As of late February, 500,000 people in the U.S. had died.
Scientists have been working hard to develop a vaccine since the cases started. As the numbers increased so too did their efforts. Vaccines usually take years to develop. However, vaccines developed by Moderna and Pfizer have recently been approved for use after less than a year from the initial impact of the coronavirus.
"She Kill's Monster: Virtual Realms" Review
“She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms” is a play based on the famed roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. Throughout the years it has been adapted to fit and change with its ever-growing community. One of these ways is through new mediums such as the play performed by the Mississippi University for Women theatre department this semester.
Mississippians to vote on new flag
The events of the past few years have caused many Mississippians to reconsider the design of the state flag. For many people, the Confederate symbology within the flag that had been used since 1894 was misrepresentative of the majority of current Mississippi residents. For them, the Confederate battle flag symbolizes hate and division.
